The Shining - Numerous
memorable scenes come to
mind, (redrum, all work and
no play, man in the bunny
suit) - but they all add up
to make the scariest movie
of all time.
Silence of the Lambs
- The most visceral fear
comes from one's own mind,
and this one is the king of
the psychological thrillers.
Se7en - So disturbing to
the psyche it has its own
rating category on Reel
Reviews. I wonder if FedEx
would really make that
delivery!
King Kong (1930) -
Despite the flickering gorilla
fur, this one frightened a
whole generation of new
moviegoers.
Psycho - The most
prominent representative of
the genius of Hitchcock.
Janet Leigh's shower scene
is one of the most
frightening scenes ever
filmed for a movie.
The Ring - A ringing
phone scared me for days
after seeing this one. A
clean change of underwear
anyone?
Halloween (1978) - So
scary it spawned no fewer
than 8 direct sequels, not to
mention numerous
acknowledgements in other
Hollywood productions.
Frankenstein (1931) -
Combines a beautifully
simplistic tale with the
potent topic of man vs.
nature to create a horrific
fairy-tale that continues to
mesmerize more than seven
decades after its release
The Hills Have Eyes
(2006) - with the threat
of nuclear disaster and its
effects on humans largely
forgotten, how successful
would a remake featuring
villains mutated by
radioactive fallout play to
today's generation of horror
fans? Well, it worked back
then and it works today.
Carrie (1976) - Mixes
telekinetic powers with our
innate fear of being
ridiculed to create a classic
horror masterpiece.
Bad Ronald (1974) -
An ABC, made-for-TV movie.
The premise alone is the
star of the show and is
guaranteed to keep you
awake for a few nights.
Difficult to watch however,
as it's not yet out on DVD,
but you can pick up a copy
here.
Jaws (1975) - Forced a
whole generation to stay
out of the water. Is it safe
to go back yet?
Night of the Living
Dead (1968) - The Royal
King Father of all zombie
movies. That reminds me, I'm
hungry!
Exorcist (1973) - Made
an entire generation of
filmgoers never order split
pea soup again!
The Birds (1963) - The
film's tagline alone says it
all: "Suspense and Shock
Beyond Anything You Have
Seen or Imagined!" Ooooo,
scary!
The Blair Witch
Project (1999) -
Although it turned out to be
the biggest sham in
filmmaking history, it was
scary nonetheless.
The Changeling
(1980) - I'll never see a
wheelchair the same again!
Friday the 13th
(1980) - Must be scarier
than Halloween because it
spawned more sequels!
Signs (2002) - Crop
circles, Shyamalan and
Aliens, Oh My!
Paranormal Activity
(2007) - Works on the
often overlooked idea that
what you don't see is scarier
than what you do. It’s
scary, and it’s unsettling.
And besides, you’ve been
getting too much restful
sleep lately anyway.
Alien (1979) - Ever
wonder about that
indigestion you get from
time to time?.
The Descent (2005) -
The translucent-skinned
humanoids resemble a
creepy cross between
Gollum, Spock, and Vladislaus
Dracula's naked, flying-
monkey devil-brides
featured in Van Helsing. A
descent into madness in
more ways than one.
The Devil's Rejects
(2005) - Sequel to House
of 1000 Corpses. One of the
few instances of a sequel
surpassing the original. Also
contains some of the best
one-liners in a horror movie.
A Clockwork Orange
(1971) - Many don't
classify it as a horror movie
per se, but it's terrifying
nonetheless. Kubrick's best
movie?
Videodrome (1983) -
Cronenberg horror that
relates the troubles of
society to television. A
visionary?
The Thing a.k.a John
Carpenter's The Thing
(1982) - This remake of
the 1951 original was largely
dismissed by critics and
audiences when it first came
out, probably because
Spielberg's E.T. had just
been released two weeks
prior. A great example of
how characters should be
written in horror movies.
Quarantine (2008) -
Undoubtedly, one-hour
martinizers and upholstery
cleaning companies around
the world will make a
fortune laundering soiled
trousers and wet theater
seats.
Texas Chainsaw
Massacre (1974) - The
1974 Tober Hooper version,
not the 2003 version.
Another film "based on" the
life of Ed Gein.
Wait Until Dark
(1967) - Yes, Audrey
Hepburn can do "scary." A
great example of how to
leave it up to the audience
to unravel the mystery.
Freaks (1932) - Not so
much scary as disturbing.
Ever seen anybody with no
arms or legs roll a cigarette?
The Blob (1958) - When
viewed with a nostalgic
attitude and with one
corner of your mind thinking
back of sitting in the tuck-
and-roll seats of a '57
Chevy parked at the drive-
in theater, The Blob will
endear itself to classic sci-fi
fans more and more each
time it is viewed.

How to Wear It
It's a complete relief for those who are sick of jeans. These slouchy, loose and muffin-top-reducing bottoms are meant to be worn below your waist (stick your hands in your pockets and push down) and with a sprightlier, less-basic top. Accordingly, sport heels or sandals to work—but no sneakers.

FASHION
It's that time of year again: A new season of fashion trends has arrived! Straight off the designer runways in New York, Paris and Milan, these hot looks are what you're going to see hitting the stores very, very soon. Take a peek at what's coming up, and find out if any of these trends are something you'd like to try out!
1. Floral Prints
Photo © Delias.com.
Not just a pocket full of posies this season, designers like Ralph Lauren and Valentino went for the full garden shebang! If you're feeling daring you can go for a flouncy dress with an all-over print, or for a little less impact, try an accent bloom on a headband or handbag.

2. Old-School Hollywood Glamour

Maybe it's a backlash to Britney, Paris, and Lindsay's shenanigans, but it seems like designers are steering fashion away from the bad-girl image and hearkening back to times when ladies were ladylike…and even wore (gasp) undergarments! Tracy Reese and Badgley Mischka showed feminine, pulled-together looks on their spring runways, and even if you don't want to don a gown and elbow-length gloves, you can still try a cherry-hued lip gloss and a chic evening coat.

3. Technicolor Brights

Break out your sunglasses this spring, girls, because this season's clothes are going to be so shockingly bright you're gonna need 'em! Just about everyone from Versace to Zac Posen showed neon-hued pieces on the catwalks, so expect to see vibrant shades of yellow, pink, and green hitting your local shops soon.

4. Ladylike Menswear
Photo © Charlotte Russe.
Some of the biggest names in fashion like Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Dior and Yves St Laurent all took a nod from the boys with menswear-type suiting, but then added nipped-in waists and feminine touches to make the looks completely wearable. I think that oxford booties (still a hit from last season) are a fun way to ease into the trend – but if you're really daring you should try wearing a girlie version of a men's necktie!

5. Ethnic Touches

Safari-chic was all over the spring runways and the look was done especially beautifully by Diane von Furstenberg. Think beaded, tribal-inspired pieces and colorful ikat fabrics in modern, feminine dresses. For just a hint of this flavor, go for a graphic-print tunic over your favorite pair of jeans.

A totally 'cheeky' idea, some risqué designers like the ever-witty Marc Jacobs decided to show transparent or sheer garments in their fashion shows! While that idea is a bit tricky to pull off in the real world, a see-through handbag is a fun, less revealing way to get the look.

The most classic combo around, ebony and ivory made a HUGE comeback for spring '08. Even Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line rocked the look, so get ready to add lots more of these basic staples into your wardrobe.

8. Eco-friendly

Eco-awareness is a hot topic across all fields, but in fashion the trend is especially picking up steam. For years all of the organic clothing was – let's face it – a little boring, but finally there are some fun, fashion-forward items out there that you'll want to wear regardless of if they're saving the planet! Red-hot young designer Phillip Lim has contributed to the movement with a line of organic cotton pieces, and loads of other designers (even Levi's) are also on board.

9. Heavy Metals

Metallic gold and silver have been big for about two years now, and the trend is not going away anytime soon; as seen at Anna Sui, it's just getting glitzier and more head-to-toe! Don't sweat saving your precious metals for evening, either – they look really unexpectedly fresh mixed in with daytime pieces. I especially love silver ballet flats, and I wear mine with everything from jeans to party dresses!

10. Dip-dye
Photo © Gojane.com.
Fashion folks call this trend ombre, but whether you say it's gradient or tie-dye the idea is the same: Colors that gradually fade from light to dark. Prada started this craze last fall with its handbags and shoes, and now the look is transitioning into just about everything from tank tops to socks.

Red-hot young designer Phillip Lim has contributed to the movement with a line of organic cotton pieces, and loads of other designers (even Levi's) are also on board.

Fashion folks call this trend ombre, but whether you say it's gradient or tie-dye the idea is the same: Colors that gradually fade from light to dark. Prada started this craze last fall with its handbags and shoes, and now the look is transitioning into just about everything from tank tops to socks.

Not just a pocket full of posies this season, designers like Ralph Lauren and Valentino went for the full garden shebang! If you're feeling daring you can go for a flouncy dress with an all-over print, or for a little less impact, try an accent bloom on a headband or handbag.

Safari-chic was all over the spring runways and the look was done especially beautifully by Diane von Furstenberg. A totally 'cheeky' idea, some risqué designers like the ever-witty Marc Jacobs decided to show transparent or sheer garments in their fashion shows! While that idea is a bit tricky to pull off in the real world, a see-through handbag is a fun, less revealing way to get the look.

SUMMER FASHION
Tuesdays with Twiggers: Little by little my love for Louis Vuitton has been waning. I have been experiencing this irresistible urge for soft, smooshy leather in bold, bright colors. So it was with great anticipation that I eagerly waited for the pictures from the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2008 RTW show to surface, and for Louis Vuitton to lure me back in. I wanted color? Well Marc must have been listening…although I’m thinking he didn’t fully understand what I meant. How do I begin to sum up the show? Maybe one word can do it: confused. The possible inspiration: Spongebob? (See picture below).
The color palette was beautiful and vibrant, full of blues, yellows, watermelon pinks, and so much more. However, Marc Jacobs decided to throw them all on one bag! Bags with 3 or more colors, plus different colored handles, are too much for me to handle (literally and figuratively). An interesting twist on the bags was somewhat psychedelic monogram patterns, as well as turning many of the iconic bags into frame bags with little tags hanging that stated their name (i.e. papillon, speedy, and alma). There are also bags with ‘Louis Vuitton’ spelled out all over the bag (Think last season’s Marc Jacobs bags that did the same). This season is definitely not for the faint-hearted, or for someone looking for a classic piece to carry for years. I am intrigued enough to wonder what bags will actually make it into production.

hi all great blogreader!
come back with me,in RESTAURANT SURVEI!
At this time,
i want to talk about MEAT BALL.
Who dont know MEAT BALL? i think everyone know it.
but,if you dont know (kebangetan!),i will explain it. MEAT BALL is blend meat that shaped on circle..
so,if you say where is the good one MEAT BALL? i will ask PERDANA!
WHY?
There are some keunggulan from perdana..
first, The MEAT BALL was very KENYAL!
then, the taste of the KUAH was very DELICIOUS!
next, from the serve, we can put it by my self. but, sedikit saran, kalo mau harganya lebih murah, pesan aja langsung ke pelayannya,cz biasanya pelayannya itu kasih bonus. XP
And,the next keunggulan is THE PRICE.the price was very cheap. Rp600 each MEAT BALL.
buT,ada kerugiannya juga..
yaitu,tempatnya yg NGGAK BANGET!

but,if i have oppurtunity to choose.
i'll like a man that can make me laugh every day, romantic, and a little riddiculous!
a man, that i 'met' in film 'THE PERFECT MAN',he's hoped by hillary duff..
that film make me want to have the perfect man in my life.who can understand me although i am not understend him. a man that never give up on me,although i always dissapoint him.
xp xp.
however,no one perfect in this world, but some one that we love, perfect in our eyes.
yeah.
i believe it.
but, that is only one among thousand.
and,who is he?
he can be a strange people that never been met.
or he can be the best people surround you.
or he can be your enemy!
no one knows.
may be the perfect man that i need, not for now.

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE SPEND TO SPEAK 'EHM... ,OUH... ,EH...
cz,the only one WC was using by my father.
and,perlu diketahui,
when i was wrote this word.i am still on WC.
so,
the question is 'how many times do we spend to say ouh, ehm,eh, etc..''
i realized that, this is the STUPID QUESTION That u ever heard.
but,i never mind about that.
so,at least,i am the first.
ΛΛ
ok.
berdasarkan survei yang aku lakukan pada 3 orang temanku pada jam 06.30-14.00,terbukti,mereka mengucapkan kata itu rata'' sebanyak 25 kali. yah,it means that their pronouncation were not good enough.
why not?cz they were on SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL!
BuT,they still say the not important words.
yaeah,
that is a little question beside our big world.
and,
see ya

killing, it bad and good.
Absoloutely,
killing was a bad thing, an evil thing.
but,in my definition,if we kill somebody we can get proof.
for example,
kill people in one village will decrease human population.
and goverment will be helped with this situagtion.they dont have to pay much money for 'BLT'
haha..
however,dont bother it!

My killer imagination IF I HAVE A CHANCE TO BE A KILLER.. I'LL BE INVITE MANY SENIOR KILLER TO JOIN WITH ME.SUCH AS JACK THE RIPPER,THE JACKAL,ITALY'S MAFIA,TIL' AMROSI CS AND RYAN JAGAL JOMBANG. FIRST, I'LL TELLING TO AMROSI CS TO DESTROY VITAL BUILDING LIKE PLTA,PLN,AND TELKOM. SO IT WILL MAKE PUBLIC BEING ISOLATE. THEN, ME AND ALL ITALIAN'S MAFIA WILL LEADING ONE SMALL REGION AND KILLING THE PEOPLE .BUT,NOT ALL,I'LL CHOSE SOME BAD PEOPLE WHO WANTS TO FOLLOW US.
